Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | If it rained an inch now and we had ideal conditions though next June we might get 30 bu./a. Our county average is 40. We usually raise yields in the 50's or more. Last couple of years yields have been well into the 60's and 70's with a few low 80's.
Right now with the forecast and etc. I would be surprised if we have 10 bu. wheat. And this is not an isolated area. It's most of Kansas, Nebraska, and Colorado and I would assume the dryness goes into Oklahoma and Texas. Basically the whole wheat belt. |
