Butterfield, MN | If you already have the Ontrack2, I'd say to get Accu-Boom and the controller kit for SmartSteer, since the drive unit is basically the same. It will plug right in and run from the Viper Pro and current receiver. I would probably not go with a QuickTrax unless you already have it, or you can get a really good deal on it. The newer style of drive unit is a lot quieter than the one used by the original Ontrack and QuickTrax. Whatever you do, make sure that your steering is tight.
The Viper Pro uses regular shape files for doing prescriptions, so that shouldn't be too compleicated. Make sure that the polygons that make up the map are no smaller than the width of the booms or so. If they are too small, it will take forever for the maps to load and not gain you anything. | |
