SW Minnesota | $1152 a year for trash? Forget it! We recycle everything we can, burn what's burnable, and haul the little bit that's left after all of that to the transfer station and pay the tipping fee for just that stuff. Usually a couple of 55 gal drums a year - cost is around $25 plus my time & trouble to drive there. Scrap metal, aluminum, batteries, etc. gets collected in their respective "piles" and hauled to the scrap yard where they pay me for it. Not a perfect system but works for me. | |
