Morris, IL | Their are two versions of RTX, one uses a omnistar unlocked receiver (regular RTX or slow RTX) and the other uses a RTK unlocked receiver (fast Start RTX). To my understanding they both use same signal but the Fast Start is ready to go quicker, dealer got us a free RTK unlock so we went with the fast start RTX, fast start is also $200 more a year then slow start RTX. If you have to pay for the RTK unlock i'd probably give the slow start version a try first, if it doesn't work out you can go back to omnistar signal or you can update to fast start if you like it.
I also believe you can only get fast start RTX if your in a covered area. According to this, you can't use fast start in your area but might want to talk to dealer. http://www.trimble.com/agriculture/CorrectionServices/centerPointRT... If you click on US it will bring up a close up view.
