I can recall a Successful Farming article titled "What makes Eugene Smith run?". I can't recall the date and couldn't turn up anything when I searched by that title. I seem to recall that he didn't own anything larger than a 4020 and reported that he would work around the clock several days in a row trying to stretch to a rainy day when he would crash sleep.
