I am in middle Ga area (Bleckley co) bout 100 miles south of Atlanta and here it is BONE DRY. If you look on the southeast drought monitor there is a big fat area of RED sitting in the middle of the state. North Ga has fared better and north Florida has had rain also but not here. There are a few bold souls that have planted grain(under pivots) and a few even planted into dry ground hoping for a slim chance on Tues in our area. I was hoping Sandy would bring some moisture but every time we get a system coming in those darned highs from the mid west swoop down and push them up the coast. We are fast becoming the desert south east. We can only hope and pray it gets better soon cause man it is dry!
