Subject: FYI MN and tiling and MPCA

MN
I want to bring to everyone's attention a few meetings that the MPCA is having around the state.

The meetings are concerning future legislation concerning water quality.

They are going to be discussing the MPCA's desires to:

1. Eliminate all new tiling in the state, and close all surface inlets.
2. Increase the grass buffer distance along roads and ditches.

From what I understand no consideration has been made that tiling is a reasonable and protected use, also it is a concern that the meetings are being held only in urban areas.

The website for the forums is http://mn.gov/environmentalcongress
