Subject: Re: Watching dust bowl and current drought

Our local radio station is playing a spot that says something like...in the next 50 years, we will consume more food than mankind has consumed throughout all of previous history.....This makes several assumptions, but this is why we have the 'it will (must) be better next year' attitude. I live in an area that is suppose to have 45mph winds tomorrow (Thanksgiving Day). It WILL look like the dust bowl here. No-till is great, but it doesn't solve the problem of not even getting enough rain to get residue or a crop established. Just learned yesterday that Wells Fargo owns RCIS. If a big bank is involved as a major underwriter, your question of "will this thing blow up on us" has a whole new context. Make it a great Thanksgiving!
