Subject: Beans 2:1 corn price

Martinsville, Ohio

The market is saying plant corn again.  Corn is $ 7.51 cash here today and beans are $14.03.

Every acre of my ground was in corn this year and I am not a big continuous corn fan, I like rotation.  I can produce a bean for $2.15 premium but the market still says to me plant corn.

I am over here in southwest Ohio where we raise good beans and soft red winter wheat every once in awhile.  My ground doesn't lend itself to continuous corn very well.

What's your thinking on this?
