Evansville, WI
We started this year, and I would agree that Corn on Corn would be terribly difficult, maybe 22" rows would offer just enough space. I tried 3 swaths in corn stalks going to beans for a trial, went very slow(about 3mph) and got them done, but wouldn't want to try large acres that way! We bought a blu-jet galaxy strip till bar 12 row 20", pulled with JD 8330 (225 pto HP) and it had plenty of power. Works great in bean stubble. We will add dry fertilizer via Montag cart, should we be comfortable with the system after planting next spring. Some have had good luck wiht the soil warrior in narrow rows as well.
