| I would avoid public land like the plague on opening day of deer season. Every knuckle head with a gun will be there.
My only experience hunting public land was frightening. As the sun came up, there were orange vests every 100 yards. There was a guy huddled in the bushes wearing camo carring a shotgun. I asked him if he had any orange. He opened his duffle bag and looked, "no, But I have some whiskey and some beer". We promptly left..... | |
