I liked my second fix for the 2388. About 3 or 4 feet of H beam under the axle with 2" reciever hitch in the middle. Don't want a combine that can't pull a header trailer anymore. The axle break was a blessing in disguise.
I am surprised that your method worked that good for a jack.
