Southeast Wyoming

Yes, many of the almost legendary ranches were named for their brand.  Petsch's Y6 and Davis' Y+ (Cross) are the only two that come to mind at the moment.  There are/were also the Padlock and the Wagonhammer in northern Wyomimg.

In Wyoming our brand registration is due every 10 years and mine ( L/T ) is due now.  I need to look again but I believe the renewal fee is $300.  I believe you can still design and "buy" it in Wyoming if there is not a similar one on file.  I designed that one about 30 years ago, using my dad's initials.  Our family also has a Script L brand and a Lazy GP brand.  My uncle Don sold his Diamond D brand on his farm sale 35 years ago.
