KY
Do you have close access to an pit or commercial elevator? I have straight augers and am debating on a swing away or drive over next year. I got my first semi last fall, 22' jet. I don't know what you have now, but there's nothing like a semi of any size. I got a jet with the side chute, I can bury my auger about 4" and pull past it and cut towards it and dump right in it. Unless I'm going to be out of the field for more than a few days, the 25 bushel or so in the bottom just stays there. If long downtime comes or when we swap crops, I just take a small load to elevator to clean out the hopper. Works good for me. Probably going to get a used drive over I think this winter/spring. Be easier than a swing, and will work with straight truck we still have as well.
