Subject: Speaking of keeping pickups

Iowa
I have a 1998 GMC 2500, it has about 96,000 miles on it. I put about 8k a year on it, mostly farm miles, pulling trailers and general farm work. The truck is mechanically sound, it just is starting to rust in front of the rear tires and the cab corners.
My question is should i fix the rust? It shouldn't be very hard, and $1,000 should fix it. I plan on keeping it for the long run. I want it to look half way decent, not rusting out.

Any thoughts? Fix it? Is it worth it to fix it?

Thanks in advance!!!
