west central Iowa | I use ration balancing program you can download free at the Okie state website. It will balance your ration and give you an estimated adg. I never get as good an adg as they project, but it gives you an idea. There's also a ration calulator at ezration.com that is geared more toward cows. The programs are on my other computer so I'll have to guess. I'd say your 50/50 ration would be pretty close if your hay is pretty good alfalfa, maybe throw in 5 lbs corn and a couple pounds of gluten if your hay isn't pretty good alflalfa. | |
