I've heard the same when it comes to Monsanto companies globally. They are selling or sold out of their top performing hybrids and new hybrids for 2013.

There is seed out there though. Like a previous poster mentioned, Brodbecks should have a good supply being from a Dow affiliate. Dow has generally been good at forecasting demands for their products. Not saying Monsanto is bad at it, but look at this example. Dow has 5% market share in corn. If they sell 1,000,000 units of seed corn and their production comes back at 80% that's only a 200,000 bag hit from demand estimates. That can easily be made up with winter production. Monsanto has I believe 25-30% markets share. So lets say that's 5,500,000 units of seed corn. If their production comes back at 80%, that is a 1,100,000 unit of seed reduction, alot harder to make up via winter production.

Last note, it will be interesting to see how winter production comes back. Right now, some companies are selling on estimates from winter production. There could be a shake up if the estimates are wrong and the seed you need isn't there. Nobody knows what they got until it's in the warehouse.
