You are looking at an electrical issue and not a mechanical one. Make sure all the wires to the pressure switches under the steps are properly connected. I had a similar problem with my 2394 last year and it ended up just being a loose wire. Otherwise you are probably looking at replacing the circuit board as mentioned by the previous posters.
