Watonwan County MN | A 2170 is pretty small. There are a few things to look for. 1) Make sure that the rotor bars have the wipers on them. Some of the smaller ones didnt have it. Just a piece of poly bolted on to scrape feed off of tub. 2) The rotor bars have springs underneath them to keep tension. Lots of times they are broken or rotor bars are rusted in position. 3) Floor. Although if it is rusted, a sheet of poly like for a manure spreader will work for a while. 4) Auger Flighting. I cant imagine that it would be worn out considering the size of model, but just make sure its not sharp. A person could add the hay knives and backing plates to thetop auger if you were so inclined works good to cut the stalks up a little bit more. Pretty fair price for that machine if its not beat to hell. Most of the 2170s were stationary units, but could very easily made to fit on an old single axle truck.
