SE Minnesota | I did the same thing last year only not on a drop deck, just a regular trailer, I went with a 4 box travis seed cart, they make a skid model so there is no modification, just set the box and go, in my looking I was told that a vac system is too hard on the seed by a number of people, I also used a conveyor type at a previous job and it isn't instant on/off, it used a clutch that had to engage before it started and then your had to slow the motor down and wait for the clutch to disengage, where the travis is a poly auger with instant on/off. This has been my experience and both my father and myself really like the results after one year of use. | |
