Subject: Re: Grieving a loved one

I think eventually it hits. Affects everyone differently. My mom died from injuries sustained in a car accident 30+ years ago; I was 13 YO. I didn't get to go to the funeral as I was in the hospital recovering from major surgery and from my injuries so I never got that closure. That next year I was numb, even contemplating suicide. Don't remember much about that year. I do remember, however, having several meltdowns during that year. when you are busy hustling about making arrangements, i think you are going thru the motions of life. When one of those quiet moments happen, maybe a song or something someone says strikes a chord, you will have your "moment"
