you can get some sidewall lifting, which can cause emergance problems. I don think the shoe on the case ih helps, its the big packer wheel in the back. I personally would take some sidewall lifting and giving up of the true V trench to get seed in the ground and covered. The RID tire allows easier penitration into the ground and give you more loose dirt for the closing wheels. Probally a here thing, our soils tend to get very hard.
