| I have a John Deere 7320 with a 741 loader that I use to load square hay with using a Steffen hay grab. I have noticed that with this 4x4 tractor, when I hit the brakes, the front axle engages. I am assuming this is part of the braking system. As soon as I release the brakes, the front drive releases. When I am doing heavy loader work, this can sometimes put the 4x4 system in a bind when stopping and starting in a turn, causing the tractor to sharply unbind when releasing the brake. I am assuming this is a normal procedure, and I have noticed it in a few more 4x4 tractors that I have been in. Is there a way to prevent the from diff from engaging when braking? Seems like it would be easier on the tractor when loading 1500+ bales per day. | |
