Buxton ND | Spuds are feast or famine, the last 3 years have been pretty good,this year pretty bad,large crops across the national with early harvest getting backed up this summer as it moved north and very high seed costs last spring ($350-400 just for seed) an acre. I used to raise spuds,seen it both ways grossed $3177.00 with expense's of $453 one year, then another year over $700 expenses and dug them, only to dump back in the field 1 month later because of late blight | |
