Crawford County, Robinson, Illinois | I had mine on a CIH 7140, it was a load when full of beans, the front was light when lifted, but with a full rack of weight it handled it well. I liked the light front part unless on hills, just lift the drill, turn the wheel a little, and tap the brake and it would turn right back where you wanted it, with a little practice. No cart needed, no coulters needed, INMHO. Watch your sway blocks on the 3-point, one of mine broke and the gauge wheels took out an outside dual on the rear. Good drill, I put cyclo sensors on each row and could monitor seed with my planter monitor. Only downside is one row will empty before the rest of the drill is empty, carry a plastic bottle cut off for a scoop so you can redistribute seed when getting close to empty. Sometimes I just carried an extra bag of seed if using bagged seed, added it to that side when nearing empty. |
