near dyersville iowa | Im attempting an experiment next year. I bought a homemade vertical till setup. I also baled the stalks, but ran over it with the vert till just to rough it up a little. Hoping that opens the ground just enough to keep the water. I also left maybe 25% of the stalks on the field. We will see how it works, Its raining today, but not hard enough to cause any run off. | |
