I don't pay my home mortgage ahead (yet). It's 4%. I've had it for two years, the places I've put my money have outdone that 4% so I'm happy. I can't wait to pay off my house someday but it doesn't make sense to me to put small chunks toward it when it barely affects my monthly payment. I'm saving to pay off my house, I'm just not doing it in the account the bank set up for my mortgage. I'm sure many of you are like that with land, equipment, etc.
