Liquid assets like grain or livestock just sell some and buy the dirt. otherwise your view of cash is in the assets maybe somewhat flawed ie inflated real estate, machinery etc can be illiquid and worth less if things "hit a glitch" so to speak. makes alot of sense to clean out livestock and buy dirt. then go back in a bank and borrow to buy livestock again. keep in mind you just added paid for dirt and the banker might think that's a ok.
