Subject: Ivomectin some Sows for Fall Mange

St. Clair MN; Casa Grande AZ
As soon as feed grade .02% Ivomectin goes off the market, mange reappears.

We used to feed growing hogs for a week at 20#/ton of feed. I'm not sure if that broke the cycle or not. Most parasite removers need to be repeated in 14 days. Sows were 120#/ ton feed.

When I use prolate spray-on insecticide, I get more on me than on the sows, from them shaking it out of their ears.

I've read on the www where they've fed the 1% injectable (by veterenarian prescription only of course!) orally at the rate of 1cc/50#. Do they ever mix a batch of feed with a whole bottle in it and feed for a week, or do they top-dress for one day?
