Subject: National FFA Convention

I returned after 35 years for my Son's American Degree ceremony. What a huge change after all these years. I expected most of what we saw. It was just so impressive to see how everything fit to keep the youth learning and involved. We have watched it via RFD for a while now. Sometimes I think Congress should be required to attend and be refreshed on the reasons our forefathers fought to form this Nation.

I was suprised (should not of been, but was) to find the National Office can work directly with schools to develope and expand AG Education classes in our districts. Our Superintendant has expressed some ideas. Now we can link him with people that know how to make it happen.

We went knowing we could have stayed home and finished beans before the storm. It is the beginning of what looks like a very wet finish of harvest and I am still glad we went to Convention. My way too small blue and gold jacket still hangs in my closet. Don
