SW Saskatchewan
Its kind of like the army. Need a lot of workers when they need workers-and a lot of "make work" when they are marking time.

It is an indication of the type of boss they have if they are goofing off.

Local highway crew-e have been blessed with good foremen who inspire the crew to take their job seriously-in summer often start at four in the morning to get asphalt work done before it gets too hot-and often then they continue to work with redistributing asphalt when it gets hot enough to scarify. Have got long weekends, do take afternoons off when it is just too hot.

But our area has some of the best maintained highways in Sask because they care! And the men will do what needs to be done because they respect the boss.

In thunderstorms the linesman often has to come from another call over 100 miles away-can mean they are out all night-and they don't have enough men to have the next day to catch up if conditions are bad the next day too.

A bad boss makes for a bad crew and often is an arrogant ----with the customer as well.
