SC KY | We had it here in SC KY about 4 years ago. It showed up first in deer and then cattle and sheep. In our cows they would quit eating and held their heads down and walked kind of stiff. We had one die from it. the deer would head to water, couldn't drink and die right there. We were told it was spread by deer urine. Some people with livestock used high doses of Vit C. We had another cow show symptoms after we lost on, we gave her, 40 cc doses of penn. until the signs were over. She lived. We have heard that it's brought on in a drought by low levels of copper. | |
