| Nothing is leased until it is in writing, had it happen to me twice, had some ground that had a verbal lease with a landlord after Sept. 1 and landlord got a offer in the mail later I went to sign what I thought was the lease agreement and they said there was no agreement because they had until the end of the original lease to decide what to do which was in March. Second time different landlord did have a verbal lease all we had to do is agree on the rent until another farmer heard about the ground and came and bid up the ground. Lesson learned get it writing ASAP. | |
