Subject: Corn on Corn with hog manure

I have a question about corn on corn and using hog manure. My brother and I put up a 1200 head hog confinement last spring and one group has gone through it. We are thinking about using it on 55 acres that was corn this year and putting corn back in there next year. We are trying to balance our corn/bean rotation acres along with a couple other factors. The manure will get applied with Houle tanks with a Dietrich set up. I was planning on taking a Case IH 870 disk ripper through it a few days after the manure was applied.

Just wondeirng what some of you guys think of that idea or is there something else I should do. Should I be baling some of the stalks before applying manure?

thanks
