NE Indiana | Now, I'm not talking about hired help, seed salesman pests or anyone related by blood. I am talking about guys who just show up. Stand around waiting on a chance to drive a tractor or something. I don't know what.
We've got a couple guys in our area, who ALWAYS have an entourage. Basically, ifthe combine is running there's six guys standing around, and about 4 pickups with Matthews Solocam stickers emblazoned on the rear window parked in the field. These farmers who have so successfully acquired these hangers-on seem to both small, and big-time operators, and come from all income brackets. I am at a loss to figure out how to unlock the secrets to all this unpaid help, and would appreciate it if anyone here could divulge secrets. I could really use a couple guys to haul wagons, fetch pizza and give me rides. I think it has something to do with free beer and hunting priveleges, but I don't really know.
Please help, any advice would be appreciated. | |
