North of London | Yes, full basement.
It was a newer school having been built after 1900.
Lots of schools had basements around here but some did not.
Needed to store lots of wood when they were built, more coal when I was a student.
It actually had lots of big windows to the south and concrete floor so made a good place to play on bad weather days.
Should add that it was built to replace the original log school and was brick.
