Subject: John deere 3960 choppers? Any good?

north west arkansas
I have found 2 choppers and 1 has a 3 row head and they other 1 has a pickup head. Are these good choppers? What do I need to look for other than the usual stuff. I would like to be able to possibly try chopping some corn next year, and I have about 80 acres of big sudan grass that we just cant get any good weather to get it put up so I am trying to get a plan b because I dont want to waste the forage when we are so short already. I have also considered trying to find someone that could possibly wrap it and just make baleage. If I chop it I will have to rig up some support equipment also. If these choppers are nice and I could get them at a reasonable price do you think it would be a wise option or should I consider something else?
