I have talked a number of times about gold not being an investment but rather a currency. Have also talked about using gold as the denominator in valuing assets as opposed to the dollar. Here is a very short article by James Turk where he talks about these issues and he says it much better than what I ever could.

I have to apologize for the last week or so about my spelling and posts. Wife and I have been traveling via motorcycle in the south and due to luggage and weight limitations I have been using a Galaxy Tab (she got to take her laptop but I did not, LOL) and have only been able to use the basic editor without spell checker. Today wife let me have the laptop for a while and also just found out I could download and use Firefox on the Tab and the html editor will work with it. So spelling should improve. Still can't type worth a darn on a tablet though.
