se montana | It's been a tough year out here, cows are thin, and grass is short, or gone. Old cows (ages 4-10) were 10% open in a 55 day breeding period. Might not sound to impressive, but we are happy with these results. The vet worked a big bunch of cattle on Tuesday that were 40% open. There are some big breedup wrecks going on around here. Excessive heat, and limited quanity or very low quality water and grass have all come together for the perfect storm. | |
