NE Kansas | I'm building a couple of cattle shelters for use in the lots during the winter months. They will be thirty foot long monoslope buildings open to the south. The enclosed back wall will be 8 feet high, the open front will be 10 feet high, and they will be 12 feet deep front to back.
I have a couple of design questions.
First, will this design allow the sunlight to strike the floor at the back of the shed during December. I know there has to be some kind of publication out there that provides such info, but I can't find it.
Second, If I were to leave a 6 to 8 inch gap at the top of the enclosed back wall below the roof's eve, would this provide air current to help prevent snow drifts from building up directly in front of the building?
Thanks
Jonathan
