Nitrates cut a chunk of the bottom 6" of the stalk. Send in about 15 chunks of stalk.

Prussic acid will be in the younger leaves. Have to keep them chilled, sealed, and get tested pronto. Stuff tends to get away as the leaves dry out. BUT you will have to watch it for changing weather. A big rain and it will start to grow and it may show up. Also a little frost.

I have never experienced a problem, but I have read quite a bit about it.
