Fort Morgan, CO | We don't use innoculant as it has never given an advantage over how we do it. 2 choppers, 3 tractors and however many trucks needed for the haul and we have very minimal loss with the adequate packing and 2 layer plastic. If you can get every part right, then there is almost no need for an innoculant and is likely money wasted. The key is to get it chopped at the right moisture, packed as tightly as possible with as little surface area exposed as possible.
Since the OP is bagging it then innoculant might make a bit more sense.
