Central Missouri | I think it is important to consider the ppm of calcium and the base saturation of calcium. Other cations as well if you want to get serious. pH is not always a good indication of calcium. Mg moves the pH 1.5 times more than calcium. So it is possible to have a pH of 6.5 and need serious amounts of calcitic lime. It is also possible that you apply calcitic lime and lower pH (very infrequent, but possible). | |
