Yep, that's the place for that kind of stuff, doesn't get much more compacted than in the bottom of a silo.

I used to ride silage wagons and if you got hit with a chunk of cob, it hurt! Some of those "circles" were pretty good sized chunks of corn!

There were quite a few of them roasted over the exhaust of "Leroi" the propane engine that blew all our silage!
