With CNH carts(Flexi-Coil, CaseIH, and New Holland), a coarse roller is recommended for beans, a fine roller is recommended for small grain. Most guys here have different rollers for beans and wheat, or else you can change the segments on the rollers if you only have a small amount of acres to plant of one or the other and do not want the expense of a second roller assy.
