IL | The ethanol mandate is not a budget issue it is not currently costing any tax dollars no need to change it. However I don’t see how it is the tax payers’ responsibility to pay for part of my risk management (crop insurance). We are in the risk business growing crops, the less financial risk we take growing crops the more risk will be taken driving up rent and land prices. Crop insurance is a great tool and has a place on about every farm, but do not see why the public owes us a discount on it. IMHO | |
