How about another air tank on the opposite side of the shop? It can help with pressure drop.

Putting the compressor in another building is always a good idea but beware your tools will get COLD in the winter. You compress the air, it gets hot then cools in the tank to ambient, which could be 15 degrees. Then when it decompresses in your impact wrench it gets colder.
