Hazelton, Kansas		Joelt,

The pan evaporation map is downright depressing for those of us located SW of Wichita.

Bismarck, where Gabe farms, shows about 45 inches annual pan evaporation. Perryton shows about 100 inches.

The map has helped me understand a few things. Dig into the supporting data, and you see why we need to have dry land crops "made" by July.
