Subject: Re: re thinking soybean row width

SW Wisconsin
We run a straight 12 row 30" planter and this year we planted some 30" beans and 15" beans (RTK to double plant). Last year we did the same thing side by side and the 15" beans were 5-10 bushels better. Seeding rate was around 140K. It will be interested to see how it is this year as the 15" rows were planted at 140K and the 30" row were planted at 120K. Next year I think we will try some twin row beans also, I've heard some have had good luck going that route.
