What part of IL are you in? My folks are in between Galesburg and Peoria, the old man says his corn is just about burnt up, and the beans don't look much better. The stuff in the river bottom is a little better, but to quote my grandfather "It ain't gonna be no bin buster." Here in south east PA we've been fortunate, we only had a month of truly dry weather, and out ground is pretty swampy so we look OK, the Delmarva is totally shot, as is some of southern NJ. It's going to be an interesting harvest...
EC IL. Corn is already dead but it would have helped the beans.
Edit-I have some corn that was planted in really dry dirt and has had less than an inch after it was planted. Some has had about 2 inches.
